You expected being a mom was going to be hard, but you didn’t realize it was going to be this hard.

You expected the love, joy and overwhelm of delight that comes with being a mother. In the early days you may have anticipated the sleep deprivation, the poopy diapers, the shift in your relationships, the nipple soreness and even changes to your body. As time goes on, you may have expected baby to sleep through the night, your partner to do more, your body to bounce back, your social life to return.

You didn’t expect to have such big emotions like anger, resentment, confusion and shame. You didn’t expect that it was going to be THIS hard. You didn’t know you would feel so alone, exhausted and overwhelmed. You didn’t expect that it would take so long to “feel normal again” (you may still be waiting for “normal”).

You didn’t realize that there was going to be such a sense of loss and grief in motherhood.

I’m Leslie, my heart is to support women as they rediscover who they are in motherhood. Motherhood is a transformation that needs unwavering support.

It doesn’t matter if you have been a mom for 1 day, 1 month, 6 months or 6 years...your role as a mother is so important and I know first hand it is easy for this role to feel demanding, unrewarding and sometimes unwanted.

You may be functioning on more cups of coffee than hours of sleep...I’ve been there...I am there...I know there is way out of the heaviness and the overwhelm.

Motherhood doesn’t have to be guilt-filled, exhausting and fulfilling everyone else’s needs except your own.

“Heading into my first session with Leslie I was curious, excited and ready. There were so many things happening-being a mom, wife, friend, business owner, pushing through fears/doubts and building up my own belief in myself. Leslie was my sound board, she reflected myself back to me.”
